 
Three Reservists are loving their full-time assignments at ... the boneyard
Aircraft mechanics wheel away the removed wings of an A-10 Thunderbolt II sitting in the "boneyard" to undergo a strengthening modification and be shipped to Hill Air Force Base, Utah, from the 309th Aerospace Maintenance and Regeneration Group at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Ariz. There are three Reservists serving on active-duty tours who are assigned to the boneyard. They work side by side with a work force made up of mostly civilians. (Staff Sgt. Bennie J. Davis III)

Hot Off the Assembly Line
The Air Force's newest C-17 arrives at Charleston Air Force Base, S.C., Oct. 28 from the Boeing manufacturing plant in Long Beach, Calif. Upon the aircraft's arrival, Lt. Gen. Charles E. Stenner Jr., Air Force Reserve Command commander, accompanied by an all-Reserve crew from the 317th Airlift Squadron, presented a ceremonial key to Col. Steven Chapman, 315th Airlift Wing commander, on the flight line. The new addition brings to 190 the number of C-17s in the Air Force, with 58 being located at Charleston.
